We have many great things in store this season, including more food vendors and kid’s activities, the successful workshops series, and a fantastic music lineup. Join us at the Depot for the summer season market. *Winter Markets are on the second Saturday Saturday Market | May – October | Hours 9 am – 2 pm Whether grown (or created) on land or pulled out of the water, Skagit’s probably got it, somewhere-oysters, beer, fresh produce, cheese, beef, tulips-you name it, it’s probably been a thing around here for a long time. Look out for our new Skagit Food Trail coming in Spring 2023! With over 150 years of farming history, the Skagit Valley is now recognized as one of the most important agricultural valleys remaining in Puget Sound. The Skagit Valley Farmers Markets open in May or early June. Some open as early as February and others not until June, or even July for berry stands. This usually happens sometime in May, but is quite variable, depending on the farmers, their products, and the weather. The seasonal farm stands will open when they have enough product in the spring. Experience how your food is grown, raised, or produced. Take the opportunity to buy fresh food directly where it is produced. Each farm stand, store, market, or u-pick has a different personality, giving an inside story of the farmers and owners. Some are roadside attractions and other adorable markets. Many Skagit Valley farmers and food producers sell their products at their stores, farm stands, or Skagit Valley farmer’s markets.
